Q: Will I always use the same style to write copy?

A: Because you’ll work with different clients with different requirements your style of copy will need to adapt to what they require. In other words some clients may need a very direct sales orientated piece or some may need a more ‘conversational’ piece to connect with their audience. This is why the Assignment Questionnaire is so important for clients to complete because it will provide you with the brief you need to apply the right style of copy in the right format for best results. One of the many exciting parts of copywriting is it’s never a ‘one-size-fits-all’ so your writing style will change dependant on your clients and their audience – this keeps your work varied, fresh and enjoyable.

Q: Do I need to have a degree in English Literature to be a copywriter?

A: You don’t need to have any higher qualifications in the English language to be an effective and successful copywriter and here’s why. Copywriting is quite different from English literature, it may contain language patterns and persuasive words that may not literally fit the rules of ‘proper’ English. That said it is essential you can completely understand, write and communicate fully in English, especially if it is not your first language. You will learn all about using persuasive, ethical copy, language patterns and much more in the training.

Q: How do I get business?

A: The course covers marketing and business building for newly trained copywriters and we have proven systems for you to copy.  We have excellent feedback from course graduates who have started taking on clients and completing copywriting assignments for them within a few short weeks after completing the course.

Our support team is on-hand to help anyone who is unsure or has further questions or needs more support. Those who are pro-active in their approach stand the best chance  of success and we are here to help you succeed as best we can. With the content-rich course, covering all elements of copywriting, and with the backing of The PCA your chances of success are far greater than a copywriter working alone. Our copywriters have better tools, support and systems to help them beat out the competition and position themselves ahead of the pack.
